These are some pictures that I scanned for Mom’s (Mildred Temple Caldwell’s) 90^th Birthday. I thought I might put this web page together for those of the family that couldn’t make it to the party, or who just wanted to see these pictures. I put these together so, naturally, it has my bias.

This is Emily Maria Shepherd, mother of Raymond Shepherd Caldwell, born in Mt. Vernon Wisconsin January 10, 1857.

Mom labeled this as Grandma and Grandpa Ydeen and Aunt Ida. That would mean that it is Andrew and ?? Ydeen born in Sweden around 1830 and 1835. This is Emma Augusta Ydeen’s family (Raymond Caldwell’s wife). This side of the family is very enigmatic.

Pauline Emily Lidtke Burgeson Duhn.

Alice Anna Burgeson.

On the back of this picture it says “Alice Burgeson and 2^nd cousins”. The story is that she was sent away to some wealthy relatives when she was very young to baby-sit their kids for room and board.

Here are Mom’s parents Alice Burgeson Temple and John Edgar Temple. They look like world beaters here.

This picture is of my Mom as a baby in 1915. On the left is her Mom Alice Burgeson Temple. On the right is her mother Pauline Lidtke Burgeson Duhn (born April 30,1871 in Kulm Germany). The woman holding Mom is Caroline Meichle Lidtke, my great-great-grandmother, born Feb. 1, 1845 in Germany. I assume the picture was taken in Moline Illinois, perhaps at the Temple house, but I don’t know. Does anyone know?
