My good Friend Gustav Jirikowski came for a few days to visit last week (September 4-7^th) and we went fishing on Lake Michigan.

Here is Ben and me going out to our fishing spot, which was about 6 miles off shore.

Here is Ben fishing. The captain did most of the work; all we had to do was reel the fish in.

Note that Ben is working away because his catch was a BIG ONE!

Here it is held by Captain Craig! Craig said that it is a Coho Salmon!

Later, Dad also caught a salmon.

Ben also liked climbing the ladder and looking at the sonar.

Then things slowed down a little until Marlene and I pulled out the beer and then the Brown Trout showed up.

We took those fish back and grilled them at home. Delicious! The night before Eunice, Marlene (taking this picture below) and Gustav all went to dinner and they ordered fish (they apparently were not as confident as me).
